Last Minute holiday money recommendations

Got a great deal on a last minute holiday sorted at very short notice so we depart on saturday for Tenerife
looking around I'm thinking a prepaid travel card would be best in my instance but the only one that will apply in such a short time frame is the travelex cash passport ( Can pick this up at the airport on saturday for instance. anyone know of any others ? )
Wouldn't mind taking cash as generally pretty responsible with items but you never know , plus a card would be more convenient . Anyone have any tips ?
Thanks

What credit cards and debit cards do you already have?0

Just debit cards , ( RBS / Santander )0

These are both 'cards from hell' for foreign use, except that you can probably withdraw cash from a Spanish Santander ATM with no fees or exchange rate loading - it may depend on exactly what Santander card you have, check with bank and see:Just debit cards , ( RBS / Santander )

The Travelex card is hardly worthwhile with £10 cost and fees. I would take GBP cash and just try to get the best rates there, if you can't use your Santander card fee-free in their ATMs (probably some in TFS arrivals).Evolution, not revolution0 -
cheers for the comments ,
going self catering thats the the main reason I was thinking of changing money into the travelex so will probably have lots of usage , cash doesn't really bother me but peace of mind would be better0
