Hi everybody, I'm just looking in my Co Op bank account and thinking about setting up a standing order to pay a little off my Halifax mortgage a month, Only thing is the Halifax is not listed as a recipient and it says that I have to setup manually but I don't know what to enter in this bit:- Make sure you check these details with the recipient
Recipient:
Reference from your bill:
Recipient account number
I guess its not possible with a co op bank standard current account?
It lists other mortgage banks apart from all the major ones which I find odd, and all I needs is, Type of bill: MORTGAGE ACCOUNTS
Organisation:
Reference from your bill:
But manually setting up one it thinks its a bill.
All I have is a ref No for my Halifax mortgage and nothing else.
Anybody setup one before with the co-op using online banking?
I can overpay up to 10% per year so I'm going to start and pay a little of each month.
Thank you.

Have you tried selecting 'Other' on the dropdown menu for bill type? As long as you know the account details of where you want the funds to go, it should be possible.0

Doesn't the information on Halifax's website answer this?To set up a monthly standing order You'll need to contact your own bank or building society to authorise the payment and provide them with the following details:
- Sort code: 30 00 00
- Account number: 00332275
- Reference number: Your 14 digit mortgage account number followed by 00
