  • Thanks guys, I will look into switching the now.

Will be happy to get it down
  • 47,53% of my last whole year was night rate units. I'm on E7 and a heavy user who likes 22ºC all day & night. Night rate tariff should be around 6p not 10p and your kW total is about right. Quantum is excellent kit and your EPC will be just above legally rentable by 2018 when private rented properties must be brought up to a minimum energy efficiency rating of ‘E’. This provision will make it unlawful to rent. So your tariff needs improvement [SP's Proposed Help Beat Cancer Fixed Price January 2018] and the % split twixt day & night needs improving. Best of luck

  • Hi,

don't see the point of having storage heaters in bedrooms.

You don't need a warm bedroom during the day.

Leave bedroom doors slightly open at night and heat from hall will take chill off bedroom.

    Quater ending February?

So will this not all balance out when the heating is completely off for the warmer months? I was always putting on £5/day when I had NSH in the winter, but when they went off for the warmer months usage was so low that it all balanced out.

You certainly need to get rid of that tariff though, those prices are shocking!!
  • Well started the switch to Scottish Power this morning got my a monthly direct debit for £66 sorted, that was calculated using the estimated annual usage I got from SSE. I'm going on to the Cancer research tariff they have as it is the best out there at the moment.

I just hope SSE let me go though, there is no exit fee with them but worried about the £830 bill I'm disputing, if it is correct I will happily pay it and I will include it with my other debts.

Been trying to estimate my own usage as well, and think the Scottish power price fits in with it plus it is under what I allowed for so hopefully it works out.

With that debt level they are entitled to block a transfer so best get working on sorting it out. Can you not calculate if it is correct yourself ?

I have spoken to them about transfer and since I have advised them that I plan to pay it off if proved correct, I think it is an accurate bill, but want to be sure and SSE are being good about it.
