Stansted Parking - Hilton Shuttle Bus

We are off on a short break next weekend, and I've found a great deal on Just Park to park at the Hilton. I know they have a shuttle, but it's only ever 30 mins and £3 each. Just wondering if anyone has taken a taxi from the Hilton to the terminal, and if so how much was it? I don't want to be waiting 30 mins if we've just missed the bus.

Thanks

  • Coincidentally, I was just looking at the exact same thing. Was it this one: https://www.justpark.com/uk/parking/stansted/s/round-coppice-road-stansted-cm24/ ? When looking for parking I couldn't believe how expensive it was for Stansted!

yes it was this one. I often park at Stansted, but this time it's a bit last minute, so £17.50 for 4 days was a fantastic price compared to £45 or so for the long stay at short notice. My only worry is that a bus every 30 mins would be a bit stressful on arrival, and think maybe a taxi could be just as cheap as £6 on the shuttle?

In the past I have walked to/from the Long Stay car park next to the Hilton and used the free shuttle which is every few minutes.

However, if there are 2 of you with luggage then a taxi will probably be the easiest option.
  • If I park there, I'll just aim to get there half an hour earlier so as to take that in to account. Did think of walking it but google maps says that'd take an hour!

Doshwaster - Wouuld they want any sort of proof of parking for using the long stay shuttle?

I'd not thought of walking to the long stay, it's very close. I just hate hanging around when going on hols, comes from missing a flight in the past (not our fault, but still very stressful). However, I've no idea how much a taxi would cost. We only have hand luggage, so could walk to the long stay.

I must have caught shuttle buses to airport carparks hundreds of times and never had to show a proof of parking.
  • Thanks. That could potentially save £6 then!

Hi Super whiskey, I emailed the hotel and they said a taxi would be £10 each way, so if there are more than 2 of you it's probably more worthwhile than waiting for the bus. The hotel were very helpful, and offered to book for us. The email address is: Sylwia.Blaszyk@Hilton.com
