Has anyone got the Falcon, Super Slim Micro DVR Dash Cam, currently on sale at Tesco?
If so, can you give me a little advice?
I've installed it, and it seems pretty good, but one thing is odd.
The box says:-
However, on the way home tonight, I got the message "SD Card Full", and had to format the SD Card, before I could get it to record again
Any ideas anyone?

Loop-cycle recording overwrite allows unwanted footage to be automatically recorded over without the need to manually delete out-of-date files.

Dont forget to drive aggressively to make good videos, forgive no mistakes, brake for nobody, drive at people making any mistakes at speed and shout obscenities.I do Contracts, all day every day.0

Did you format the SD card when you initially put it into the cam?
I'm afraid the simple fact is that a fair percentage of cheaper dashcams have serious reliability issues. I'm just about to return a 2nd one to Currys.David.0 -

It's not a reliability issue. The camera works fine, but it doesn't automatically record over previous recordings.
I'm wondering if there's a setting I need to change, or something?
Well I've now had 3 different makes/models of cams, and there's never been a setting dealing with the over-writing of files/recordings, it's all done automatically.
The only other thing I'd query would be the SD card, some cams can be fussy re the spec/size/brand of card.David.0 -
Have you used the setup menu to set the loop record time period?0

Is there a setting for saving a recorded segment if there's a collision? G sensor or something, if so turn it off.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0

OK, I've checked, and Motion Sensor is turned off.
As for recording time, I've set it at 10 minutes.
Does that mean it fills the SD Card, then re-records, in 10 minute blocks, starting with the first 10 minute block?0 -

My first thought was this as most DVR's write protect the segment files when either a collision or the manual save button is pressed.
The other time I have had issues is with the internal clock, like this:
You set the onboard clock, it records loads of files until full, overwriting normally.
If you then hard reset the DVR or let its battery run too flat for too long the internal clock is reset to an old default date.
It then can't overwrite the card because as far as its concerned the new files its trying to write are 'older' than the ones already on the card.
You just need to set the clock right and reformat the card.European for 3 weeks in August, the rest of the year only British and proud.0
