Hi
I parked in a train car park today at 6.20am. I then paid £7 for a parking ticket which I then displayed on the dashboard. When I arrived back I had a ticket. The time the ticket was issued was 8.33am> The expiry on my ticket was 12:00 which is lunchtime.
Why do I have a ticket from Apcoa?

Because private parking scumpanies are scammers. Does the windscreen notice say anything along the lines of, not parked within a marked bay, or was the ticket the wrong way up or not on the dashboard or some other similar money generating rubbish?
Please read the Sticky thread for NEWBIES and use the BPA appeal template in blue around day 25 just like it tells you in said NEWBIES thread.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

It says 'without clearly displaying a valid pay and display ticket' which isn't true. The pay and display ticket is small but that's hardly my fault. There was nothing else on my dashboard.0

Was there a picture of your car with the PCN? Some parking scumpanies have allegedly taken a picture from a particular angle so that a valid P & D ticket cannot be seen. One motorist had stuck their ticket on the drivers' window only to receive a PCN with a photo' of the PCN stuck to the same window so the valid ticket was covered up. Scammers the lot of them.
As previously mentioned, read the Sticky thread for NEWBIES then appeal as detailed therein using the BPA template in blue text.
Do not pay, do not ignore, do not reveal who was driving, do not appeal too early to a windscreen ticket, do not miss the appeal deadline.
There are lots of ways to beat this but you will need to make a two stage appeal in order to do it; the first being the appeal template mentioned above.
One of the appeal points in your second stage appeal will be that you had displayed a valid P & D ticket and you put the PPC to proof that you didn't. I hope you kept the ticket.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

Were there two parts to the ticket, one to be displayed and the other a receipt? That is what happened to me when I paid for mine by card at the local train station. I displayed the receipt (which was very similar and had all the same information) instead of the ticket. They still went after me!0 -
Did they maggie75? Where, which station or PPC, out of interest and what did you do about it?Were there two parts to the ticket, one to be displayed and the other a receipt? And none of that goes into the appeal because 'it wasn't my fault' or 'I displayed it on my dashboard' nor even 'I don't know why I got a ticket' blows the appeal point for 'no keeper liability' out of contention for you. No 'me/myself or I' in an appeal except to say 'I am the keeper and...'bellaboo86 wrote: »It says 'without clearly displaying a valid pay and display ticket' which isn't true. So follow the NEWBIES thread appeal script, do not write about the driver/what happened/who displayed/parked.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

This was back in Nov 2012 just when things were changing and we didn't know exactly what was going to happen. I initially appealed as keeper, and was rejected. It was my first trip out since chemo but that didn't matter to them - just got an automated response on the last day possible. I didn't appeal to POPLA at the time (again as no one was sure what to do). I had advice from LazyDaisy at the time and drafted a cease and desist style letter as the threats rolled in. Copies of the ticket and receipt were sent along with it.
I had two more automated letters after that and none since. It was Audley End near Saffron Walden BTW and NCP.0
