Peugeot 107 failed Mot in airbag warning light -any ideas

I have booked my little car in to a Peugeot garage on Monday but am hoping someone may have some ideas as to what would cause this. The light comes on / off intermittently but more on than off at the moment .

the wires under your seat are usually the cause for this error
  • Thanks for your response, would the mot centre not have checked for loose connections ?

The MOT centre is not there to rectify faults, simply identify them.

I'm not sure about the 107, but on the older Peugeot models they had a plug that joined the connections under the seats. Sometimes unplugging it, blowing out any moisture and plugging it back in would resolve it but if not soldering the connections together directly would do the trick.

Yep, same on the 206 I had. I'd occasionally get the airbag warning light, a quick fiddle with the connector under the seat and all would be well again :)
Now free from the incompetence of vodafail

Does this apply equally for a Honda Jazz? (57 plate). My wife's Jazz's airbag warning light pretty much stays on all the time now.

You need to take it to a Honda garage to fix it, as this will result in MOT failure.
