Is this a reasonable quote (big job!)

We have just had a large extension done (mostly finished, now waiting for kitchen installation and decorating.
I wonder what people's thoughts are on the quote I have been given. This man has done plastering and painting (a single room) for us before, and 3.5 years later the work still looks perfect. It is my preference to have him come and do this work, but I just want to make sure the rates are about right.I am in Bristol.
His quote includes the comment that because it is such a big job,he might get another labourer to come and help.
The kitchen is,I think,40 square metres (I am only guessing that because that is how much flooring we have been quoted for),bedroom is an average double room, bathroom needs only 5m squared of tiles, hall way is about 1m squared
He estimates the work will take a month:
CARPENTRY: supply and fit 69mm primed MDFbullnose skirtings to 44metre of walls throughout, inc labour and materials.......£387.00
supply and fit 44mm primed MDF architrave to 50m of doorframes in labour and materials...........................................................£210.00
TILING: supply labour, adhesive and grout to lay supplied tiles to
bathroom floor.........................................................................£180
shower cubical and basin ........................................................£180
kitchen cooker/sink splashback...............................................£150
PLASTERING: strip wallpaper from chimney breast and replaster chimney breast .......................................................................£160
DECORATING:
Materials (paint-vinylmatt,undercoat and gloss)..................£608
Labour (per room):bathroom and "hallway".........................£375
bedroom...................................................£450
kitchen .....................................................£900
Glossing ALL woodwork (5 doors,skirting,architraves).......£1200
Honest feedback would really be appreciated. It might be worth getting him to do what is reasonably priced, and ask our builder how much his team would cost for same jobs.
Thanking you for any help you can give,
Saver-upper

Good advice, thanks wealdroam.
Unfortunately the OP created a duplicate thread and (for some unknown reason) I am unable to remove this one. I have locked it, so all replies will go to the thread in the 'Is This Quote Fair' board.
