Default removal from credit report

Hi everyone,

I know this is a subject that comes up multiple times a day but I just wanted to triple check something. I have 4 default accounts on my file, all defaulted in 2010. Since then I have been very good and have no credit anymore so I know that 3 of them will be removed from my report this year, August and October is when they disappear. Believe me, I am counting down the days (want to get a mortgage so am waiting till they go before I apply) however one of them was default in 2010, then has a default satisfaction date of 2012. For some reason I had been assuming this would be removed in 2018 as I hadn't realised the date I was reading was default SATISFACTION date not default date. So this means this will also be removed this year right? As accounts are removed 6 years after they are closed/defaulted, not when they are settled right?

Please tell me I didn't make all of this up. I had been thinking when I applied for a mortgage I would have only 1 default account, and due to it being over 4 years old wasn't too worried about it. Now I have read properly, and realised it defaulted in 2010 but was paid off in 2012, this means at the end of this year I will be applying for a mortgage with 0 defaults on my account yes?

I am so happy to realise I read it wrong! I hope no one tells me I am wrong as I have been waiting to buy for a year and really am counting down the days until I can!
