Pop up windows

having a lot of trouble with pop up windows,!!!!!! sites etc appearing on my PC
Have taken advice and downloaded ad-aware and ad muncher but still the problem persits.
Any suggestions anyone,please help
You know what... you can't beat a good bargain!!!

    get yourself a firewall such as Zonealarm and a popup blocker such as google's

    Adaware and things like that won't actually do much to stop them, they just inform you of any junk loitering on your system

    PopThis is a good free pop-up stopper...lightweight and unobtrusive and no spyware. No Windows tray icons or toolbars to litter the place up either!

    In IE then Goole Toolbar gets my vote (you can also search google immediately - very handy!)

    Or try out Firefox as a browser.
