For the brushes, just wrap them in cling film and leave them until you can buy some more turps tomorrow. The cling film will prevent the paint hardening, and they will be fine to leave overnight and clean tomorrow.

Not sure about the spillage on the floor though, sorry! What sort of flooring is it? If it is some sort of hard flooring, you might be able to chip it off once it's dry?

  • Water and detergent for any water based paint /stain or petrol, nail varnish remover or any solvent for solvent based products.

Or just put them in water and detergent until the shops open tomorrow

A lot of detergent may help on the flooring - wait until its starts to dry, and peel most of it off first, or use a stanley blade
  • Got any Swarfega in? That'll do it.
