Does this pipework / pump need replacing?

Looks quite bad to me, but I know nothing about plumbing
So, should it be replaced now, or wait until it leaks significantly?

Weeping seals - ask a plumber to get some new washers and replace them. Simple job, no need to replace pump.

I would just replace the pump valves, very easy job, and clean the green off the pipework with some steelwool. If pump is working then there is no need to replace it.

Those types of pump valves are known for being a bit weepy. They leak a little, they stop, they leak ,they stop hence why they are looking a bit crusty. They tend to leak at the interface between the valve stem body and the valve body. Dont be tempted to try and tighten them as there is a good chance you will get wet in a big way !

I wouldnt be too exited about it. Wait til summer, drain off,new pump valves.
Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..
