WorldDutyFree Won't Accept My Refund For Raybans
JENN
Hi guys,
I have attempted to get my Raybans refunded since it was an unwanted gift, however WorldDutyFree have given me the most unreasonable excuses (that can be rectified quite easily) . These excuses include finger prints on the glasses frame, dirt on the nose pad, and a white scratch on the glasses case...
In order to illustrate, I will post the ridiculous pictures that they have provided as proof. I need help as to where I can go from here, since I have tried TWICE for the refund but they won't accept it.
(Can't post images cause I'm a new member but I'm working towards that)
Thanks
Jen

If so, you probably have no right to a refund since you didn't make the purchase.
Do you have any proof of purchase?
When was the purchase made?
Was the purchase made by card? If so, a credit of debit card?
What was the purchase price?
Is there anything wrong with the glasses, other than they are unwanted?
Did you buy online, mailorder or in a store?0 -
You have no right to an automatic refund, if they believe they are used they simply don't need to give you one.
Sell them on Ebay, they make good money there.
of course all it takes is one chancer buyer, he claims fake, gets a refund and keeps the glasses, but that's the joys of ebay.0 -
I do have a proof of purchase and its still within the 60 days timeframe that I can return them in. I bought the gift for a person, but they didn't like it.0

Your going to struggle getting a refund for a 'change of mind', maybe ask to exchange them for a pair the recipient does likes.0

World duty free are airport stores.0 -
OK, you are within their 60 day timeframe.I do have a proof of purchase and its still within the 60 days timeframe that I can return them in. I bought the gift for a person, but they didn't like it.
What about their other return conditions?
For example:
You have already told us they're not in the same condition as you bought them.If the items are in the same, unused condition as sold, you can return them to us within 60 days of the date of your purchase with a copy of your proof of purchase to either exchange it for another item (stock dependant), or receive a full refund.
They then repeat:
Sure you can wipe fingerprints off, but why didn't you do that? Please note that the Returns Offer does not apply to (and therefore no refunds, exchanges or otherwise are or will be available for) the following:
a) Goods which are not returned in the same condition as sold (unless faulty)
How do you suggest they remove the scratch, and why should they do that?0 -
Dirt on the nose pad suggests that the use they have had is rather more than just trying them on to see how they look, unless the person you gave them to has an excessively filthy face!0

Precisely this. Why should the outcome of this be you back in the position you started, while they have to do some rectification work for nothing?
Besides which, if you bought some new RayBans and found out they had been "rectified" after someone else had slightly scratched them or dirtied them, would you be happy with that? I would guess not. Yet you want them to sell to another customer in that state.0 -

More likely they wore make up trying on or wearing them. My sunglasses I clean because of this.0
