Second Tesco Account

Does anyone know how you actually apply for a second current account? when I log in there is the option to apply for a current account but it just dumps me back to the main screen. I did save an application a few weeks ago but when I click on it and enter my application id it logs me out "Due to inactivity your session has now expired" If then go back and start a new application it asks me to ring them.

 You could always try ringing them as suggested ...

I was logged in and thought that as I already had one current account plus two savings accounts it would be a straightforward process to open a second account, I have no problem ringing them just thought that since they already have all my details it would be easy

My wife has had exactly the same problem. She started trying yesterday to open 2nd acc. and finally this evening it suddenly let her finish applying! Waiting to hear back now. She just started the application without logging in first.
  • tried to apply for current account online - currently in France. Have two savings accounts with them, but after inputting my 'do we know you' details got bounced out to a screen saying phone us...... Phoned two days ago and got call back yesterday - they are aware that they have all sorts of problems with their on line applications.... Declined to apply over the phone as they said it would take half an hour!

So I finally phoned them up and yes there are problems with the online application. I was very surprised at the amount of information I had to give them in order to process the application and then at end of the call they could not give me a decision, further checks required.
