Bank transfer, to Germany {any costs?}

Hello, hope this is in the correct place on the forum.
I intend to purchase an item from a German musical stockist. The product is £40 in the UK, yet with delivery from Germany it comes in at £27. They ask to be paid via bank transfer though (i trust them as the sites been going for years, I've just never bought from them) but i wondered if there were any costs involved (i.e. like buying something from america in Dollars usually incurs an extra charge). But using the BACS system, would this be the case?
I bank with Natwest,
thanks in advance for any help you can offer!

ah, many thanks
clearly not worth it then with those chargers. Can pay via credit card but i assume they'll charge in Euros, best to enquire i think0 -
You should ask to pay in euros as it'll be cheaper. If you pay in sterling, the lender applies dynamic currency conversion (DCC) which will almost certainly be more than the 2.75% conversion fee your card provider will charge (assuming it's NatWest).Can pay via credit card but i assume they'll charge in Euros...
Shouldn't worry you on such a small transaction, but if you have a Nationwide credit card, pay with that to avoid the 2.75% fee.0 -
Many thanks for the reply again.
Unfortunately not, I only have a Natwest current account and an M&S mastercard. I'll email them and ask, as 2.75% isn't bad on £27, wouldn't want to end up paying more as I may aswell buy the item in the UK!
Thanks again0
