Help!!!
I have just got this message on my pc and I cannot use my cd drive or dvd drive. Anyone any ideas?
Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)
tried to reinstall it through the wizard but with no joy!!

Have you tried turning it off & turning it on again - that will generally solve 95% of known hardware problems
If not then uninstall it totally then reboot. Let the wizard look on the internet for the best drivers
If that fails then it could be a real hardware problem which can only be fixed with a large hammer & money0 -

You can no longer access the CD drive or the DVD drive, or you receive an error message after you remove a CD recording program or a DVD recording program in Windows XP: "error code 31"
