I'm buying a car today and after signing on the dotted line, paying a deposit and going through all the details on Monday, they called yesterday to check how I would be paying and have informed me I can only use 1 credit card??
Is this normal?
I took out two 0% interest cards in order to buy the car but they tell me I can use 1 credit and 1 debit, but not 2 credit due to money laundering risks. They never mentioned this on Monday (you think they would when they knew I wasn't taking out their finance) and the sales guy I was with called me back to apologise as he didn't realise either.
I've never heard of this before. Have you?

Will they accept a top up deposit today (using one of the cards) and then pay the rest on the other when you collect. Sometimes works as a get around.0

Oh I never thought of that. I'll ask them later. Thanks.
Is it normal though to have that rule in place or is it just something they've decided?0 -
Its not normal, but its not unheard of either.0
