question about the information source - how much detail do you have to give? web address , site names etc

Also questions about directions. How do you answer these? I know use RAC or AA etc but these are too detailed aren't they?

I have just got my application form for aqa, but have a few questions about it- I did try and get through this thread, but have only managed half of it so sorry if it is something that is covered.

Main question is how does self employment work? I am a stay at home mum, with just my hubby's income, and we get a bit of tax credit and housing benefit. If I were to earn say £200pm doing aqa, but that caused me to no longer get benefit, I would be a tad worse off. I know it is better to work than not work, but I can't be sure how I will get on, and how much I will be able to do while my son is at pre school.
If I was allowed to earn up to a certain amount without it affecting anything then it would be ideal as pocket money.

I have just run our figures through entitled to and it didn't come up with housing benefit which we do get, and have for the last 3/4 years with reviews each year- we always give the correct info so I hope we haven't been getting it when we shouldn't!!
I put things in as they are, and then with me earning £50pw self employed and it didn't seem to make a difference, but as I said, the h.b didn't show up and that is what I imagine would be affected.

which number test did you have?

If you answer a question with your opinion/views do you just say that in your information source, are they going to be checking up on the answers?

out of the 12 questions only 4 are between 120-153 words, one is under 100 (will be adding to that), 4 of them are into the 200s, I have 2 in the 160s

EDIT - only 4 are over 153 now but I have no clue how to answer the direction question :(

Sometimes the emails go into the junk folder. If not I would try and contact them again.

I give up I can't get 'mutton dressed as lamb' down to the correct length :(
  • debrag: Directions questions can usually be answered by using Multimap or Google maps...If they are too detailed, just put in as much as you can- just the main points. Also yes you do just put 'myself' as the source if you are using opinion - but only use opinion for questions where there definitely couldn't be a factual answer (e.g. what shall I wear to go out tonight). For other sources, it is sufficient to put a website link in there. Or two or more if you use more than one site to help.

meeps: you must register as self employed but I'm afraid I don't really know how it would affect your benefits so I'm hoping someone else can help you on that one.

Good luck to all who have applied. They have a big recruitment drive on at the moment.:T
