I got accepted for AQA today, but what is the score with tax etc? You have to register as self employed, but what if you are already employed? Do you pay your tax as a lump sump at the end of the tax year? Will they tell you how much to pay? Do you have to pay NI as well?CC debt 4389/12000 slowly chipping away helps :j

I really enjoyed doing the test!!! Just remember answers have to be a minimum of 120- I put a load of 1 word answers then realised and had to go back and change them. Hardest one was a bus time from Sevenoaks to somewhere.
Best of luck!!CC debt 4389/12000 slowly chipping away helps :j

I just sent them one saying I wanted to join- you have to put more on the application form so wouldn't waste all your good phrases etc!!! They sent me email back more or less straight away. I did test this time last night then got email this morning saying I was in- have to sign contract etc and send it back which I'm doing tmw. Then think it takes a few more days before you can start properlyCC debt 4389/12000 slowly chipping away helps :j

Good luck to all others
I got my contract and sent it back and almost immediately got the details for downloading the software etc. You have to read all the help pages to familiarise yourself with what is required and how to do things. Then contact your senior researcher who then gives you your log in details and inducts you. I'm awaiting my response from mine now. I'm quite excited!
Re the tax - if you visit the inland revenue site I believe they allow you fill in forms online if you're already employed and they will send you a form at the end of the tax year to declare. Then they would normally bill you for tax. I'm not certain about NI - I'm about to look myself.Proud to be dealing with my debt!

I assume I have not got in. The last few of you seem to have had a positive response the next day. I sent my late on Tuesday, I've also sent her another email yesterday asking if she had received it, but haven't had a reply to either of them.
I have checked my answers again and can't see any spelling or grammer issues. It took 66 minutes to complete and all my answers are 142 -153 long.
Not sure what I could improve on to be honest.

Just an update for anyone wondering what happened with mine. I finally heard word back from Rowina, who the ball rolling. I had my induction last week, completed the 30 questions on Tuesday and have been told I'll have my first review *shudder shudder* before i can start properly within the next 3 days. Cross your fingers. Just outta curiosity for those hwo are regular AQA'ers, I did 55% of my first questions as "hard questions" which made my skip rate a little high. Has anyone else done this and been ok?LBM 2 - 27.05.09. I don't think they worry too much about your skip rate for your first review. They're more focused on the content of your answers, and the spelling, punctuation and grammar. I passed mine without a problem, and my skip rate was fairly high, for the same reason as you.0
