ESA and Medical Evidence

But surely if I have explained the situation to them that would reduce the risk of it coming into questionYour claim could come into question if the medical evidence has a different address to your claim...
I'm not inferring you are trying to attempt a fraudulent claim but the DWP have seen it all, their job is not just to process your ESA claim but to question and possibly investigate any discrepancies...
Where are you registered for Council Tax or electrol roll?
Would it not help if I speak to my GP and ask him to write me a letter explaining why my treatment takes place in a different locality to my claim - and how my mental health was so bad last year that the police were called out because I was in a state. Twice. And that the only solution that helped was for me to get an address in GPs locality so I could continue my treatment with them and therapist? Suffer from social anxiety badly so that is another reason I didn't want to change treatment team
I've not actually registered at either address on the electoral roll0 -
Speak to the DWP and ask for advice, if in the future your 2nd address flags up on their system then you could find your ESA suspended.0

My 2nd address is nothing to do with them anyway- I only use it for GP and Therapy!Speak to the DWP and ask for advice, if in the future your 2nd address flags up on their system then you could find your ESA suspended.
If even a GP letter wouldn't suffice the world's gone mad. I could understand if I was actually claiming under the 2nd address, but I'm not. The 2nd address is in my dads name anyway! I just stay there once a week and the odd weekend0 -

A GP letter will suffice for medical history, but if they start querying the difference in GP address and claim address then a letter from your GP isn't going to hold much weight... They are interested in possible financial relationships so having 2 addresses on record could potentially cause problems.. Speak to them and explain the situation at least it's down on record then.0 -
Your GP might not, but the practice manager might. What happens if you are very poorly one night and call out of hours doctor?GP isn't bothered how much of the week I spend at either address - they know I have an address in their locality purely so I could continue my treatment with the same people and that I spend the rest of the week at mum and dads where claiming. All GP is bothered about is that I had an address in the locality to give them
I'm sorry but your post doesn't make any sense. Why would your family agree to pay rent somewhere you don't live just so you could access your GP/therapy when I would think it would be much cheaper for them to pay for private care with them.0 -
how far away is the home you live in away from the GP/therapist location?0

Simply provide your parents address to ESA as the address you want correspondence sent to. No need to potentially lie about anything.0
