Cost of fitting an electric extractor fan

Hello all,


I am based in the North West and looking to have an electric extractor fan fitted in my utility room.


Would need to drill through an external wall to fit and be linked to either the light switch or (if this is potentially too messy) then off a separate socket switch.


Before I get quotes, could anybody give me a guide as to the likely cost ?

Supply and fit with a decent fan, I'd estimate about £200 depending on access. I can't remember what we were charged when we had ours done, but I saved money by having a local handyman who was doing another job for me cut the holes in the bathroom ceiling and soffits and help me attach the ducting to the outside vent, fitted the internal vent myself and then had the electrician wire it all up and sign it off as part of a bigger job.
