Advice regarding financial ombudsman and Halifax packaged Bank account please
Comments
-
This out of time notice via Halifax will be a provisional assessment (by adjudicator).
After this, your entitled to a final decision on the mater from an Ombudsman but it will be the same.
The only evidence Halifax have to provide is that they have the complaint letters on their system - no further proof of despatch.
Your entitled to all the case file documents used to produce an outcome so ask the FOS to email them now including the out of time dispute from Halifax.
Incidentally, you don't need to use recorded delivery to write to Halifax. The complaint form on its website sends you an email acknowledgement and you can ask for a stamped receipt for bits of paper (letters) left in branch.0
