i remember signing a form to say that we would make good any wall if we remove any item from, i have pictures etc that i'm going to take with us, need to fills the holes and paint over, only had the walls painted about a year back but never had any paint left and not really sure of the name of the stuff so don't want to spoil the walls and paint the marks a slightly off colour, would it be ok to fill the walls and leave at that, the walls are a light cream anyway so its not going to show too much.

are you selling, or renting ur current place ? We are living at a rented place, previous tenants have left lots of nails on the wall...
Is this kind of form compulsory in the selling process, or your buyer specially requested it ?0 -
I'd leave the picture hooks in and ask the LL to be reasonable.
Better that than splodges of Polyfilla everywhere.

sorry, were selling our house and moving out on the 10th, shall i just leave the nails/screws in the wall then?Listen to what people say, but watch what people what people do!!0

our vendor has specified in the item list form that they are leaving the fixtures/picture rails.. Suppose that means they are leaving all those nails, rather than removing them and fixing the wall.. It's a easy way out..I suppose.0

I guess it depends on what you put on the information form.
on mine I've said i'll leave picture hooks..... then I don't have to make good.0 -
i guess they are all a little different, because i could have sworn that it said that anything removed from the wall had to be made good.
oh well looks as if i'm going round with the polyfilla at the weekend.Listen to what people say, but watch what people what people do!!0 -
When we moved out we signed a form to say that all holes left by curtain rails, picture hooks etc would be made good by ourselves. We filled the holes and repainted. When we got here though, holes everywhere! Annoying but we didn't make a fuss.
BTW, we didn't actually take all the picture hooks with us, just thought it looked better with them removed.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -
When I bought our place I told the owners to leave any holes and I'd deal with them. Having moved in and seen the guys previous attempts at DIY I'm glad I did.
When I sold my other place I said on the sellers form that anything attached to the walls would be left.0
