Opening new account, just moved house

Hi all! I'm new to MSE forums and hoping someone could help with a query I have. I've been moving accounts around intermittently over the last couple of years and collecting switch rewards. I have my sights on the Halifax £125 reward and keeping that account after switch to collect the £5 a month.
My problem is that I've just bought a house and moved in the last month. I've filled out the electoral register form (about two weeks ago) and to be sure I called the local electoral register office. The lady I spoke to said she could see my application had been received, it was all fine but due to some sort of cut off times for updates to the register, she said I wouldn't be added to the register until the 1st April!!
I obviously wanted to get my Halifax application in before the £125 incentive ends (around 22nd March or something?) but it appears I won't be on the register by then. I had no idea it took in excess of 6 weeks to get on the electoral roll!! So my question is, has this scuppered my plans to move account? I know it's extremely important to be on the register if applying for credit but will I automatically be turned down for a Halifax rewards bank account if I apply before I'm added to the electoral register? Or will I be given a chance to explain and provide proof of address?
Just wondering if anyone has any insight or experience of this sort of situation, and any advice gratefully received

Oh well, never mind. It's all sorted now.0

When applying for an account, if you have not been at your present address for at least 3 years, you need to supply your previous address too.
I would guess that any check on identity would include looking for you on the electoral roll at the old address so the fact that it's too soon to show up at the new address it should be OK.
Moving house is certainly not a bar to opening a bank account.0
