Bleach stain on oak worktop - help!!

To be honest, wood is not the most user friendly material to use as a worktop, as you have unfortunately discovered.
The only way to get the finish back to as it was, is probably to have the top skimmed and resurfaced, as long as the bleach has not bitten in too deep.
The kitchen installers are probably the best people to do this.
Any attempt at a DIY solution could do more harm than good.0 -
We've had them 18 months now and I give them more TLC than I give OH!!!
Did try pouring on water and scrubbing with soft brush last night - removed oil but also soaked out bleach and looks much better so may just strip back both pieces, scrub down and re-oilIf you think you are too small to make a difference, try getting in bed with a mosquito!
