Tesco Current Account

Hi
Want to apply for Tescos current account - never had a problem with current account applications before (and like many on here I have a LOT of accounts ...) but Tesco ask for salary and dont include savings interest .... and a good chunk of my income IS savings interest.
I realise that the application will depend on other things as well and everything else should be perfect, but does anybody know if they actually have a fixed minimum income to get the account as I believe companies like AMEX do for their credit cards?
Thanks as always ...

Do you require an overdraft?0

No ..... already spoken to them before I posted this and it appears the only relevance of overdraft is that they then want your expenditure as well as income ...
(slightly odd situation ...UK resident but I was trying to make the application online from France and it kept kicking me out - so spoke to them and waiting for a call back....)0 -

I applied less than 2 weeks ago and I don't recall anything along the lines of salary requirements, but as there is no minimum pay in required it shouldn't be an issue. I didn't apply for an overdraft facility though.
Hope that helps.0 -
I shouldnt really have said 'salary' - they ask for 'income' (apparently....) intrigued if you weren't asked as it seems its part of their standard a/c opening script..??0

I wasn't being pedantic, it could have said that or income but if in doubt, perhaps put interest figure in there as it is taxable if one is eligible for tax.
That way you have given a full representation of your financial situation.
ETA: The application was online and it could have asked, I simply cannot recollect.0 -
Thanks again .... sorry, I wasnt meaning to sound pedantic either .... just wondered if I had been confusing by specifying 'salary'.
Problem is that they have specifically told me to EXCLUDE savings income. If they hadnt mentioned it at all I would be happy to include it, (and have done in other applications...) but having been told not to I dont want to be 'fraudulent'.0 -

No offence taken - didn't think you were..
It seems fine then, but I would take a look at the Ts and Cs yourself as nothing in writing would leave you open to a claim of fraud the other way if you get my thinking.
There will be a pdf online. Satisfy yourself and then apply when you are ready.0
