Sorry mate but i dont need to lie,i dont even see the point? can you?If I had suspicions about the reality of this thread before this post, they've just been multiplied. FTB, £260k cash buyer, miffed at "missing out" three years ago. Parents hassling to move out.
Sorry, but if you are real, you can understand why there's a credibility gap here...
Anyway, there is no way on this planet that you would have been exchanging contracts just a week after your offer was accepted. It Does Not Happen.
Until contracts are exchanged, there is no firm legal agreement. Either side can back out or change their mind for any reason.
I'm just looking for advices on how to proceed, and you're not really helpful,no offence.0 -

As i said before, they know I had the money on my account, they saw the statement and my sollicitor provided the estate agent with every proof of my founds.Did you provide the EA with PROOF of those funds?
I offered 5k more btw, just waiting for the estate agent to get back to me,if not whatever i'll just move on and find another one.0 -
If I were you, I'd say to the estate agent that I was annoyed they had continued to market the property after my offer was accepted. And that, to be clear, the revised offer is made subject to no further marketing. The vendor should then treat your and the other buyer's offer as 'best and final' offers, make their choice, and shouldn't accept any further viewings or offers from anyone else.
I say 'shouldn't' rather than can't or mustn't. As AdrianC says, it's not legally binding, but an agreement from the vendor to take it off the market is better than nothing.
Glad you are still considering the option to move on, if this place doesn't work out for you for whatever reason. For me, I would personally walk away if the vendor refused to stop marketting the property to others, and leaves you open to gazumping all the way up to the contracts being exchanged. You have to make up your own mind of course.0 -

The estate agent said the seller is looking for other offer,so basically refused my 5k more on top of my offer.
Its just morally wrong, and really depressing.
But whatever,i'll just find something else hopefully soon.
thanks for the advices everyone.0 -
