When did you last make a payment towards them or otherwise acknowledge them? More than 6 years ago?0

If you live in England, debts become statute barred after a period of time, usually six years after the last payment / default date.
This doesn't mean they're written off. You still owe the money. (That's why I was asking, as in Scotland they are written off) They just can't pursue you for it through the courts and effectively you can ignore any letters they sent out.

My last payment to them was 1st feb and my next is coming out tomorrow. My boyfriend just mentioned something about them being written off after a certain amount of time so thought I'd ask.0
