Old screen left outside our house

Somebody's left an ancient Digilogic screen outside our front garden.
Didn't see who did it, the neighbours are saying they haven't either.
Don't know what to do about it. I don"t drive so can't take it to scrap. I doubt scrap metal ppl will take it as there's not that much metal for them to bother with it.
I'm worried the council will threaten to fine us for smth I haven't done - but then how do I prove we haven't done it when it's outside our house and I have no idea who did it.

Tomorrow morning phone the Council. There will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.0

As it's outside your front garden, and as the council don't have any evidence to suggest it's yours, how on earth are they going to prosecute you?
There is no need to make a drama out of a bit of fly-tipping. The council have a duty to collect it, if you just report the matter.0 -
My last Council was pretty efficient at making it easy to report flytipping - and they had an online form with an option to state it was "anonymous" that was reporting it.
Current council for some reason wont let things be reported anonymously and are inefficient at picking up flytipped stuff (hmmm...wonders if the two facts are connected...).
But you might have a decent Council - ie like my first one. Check their online website for a "page" to report this.0 -

Why would you want to report it Anonymously. There will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.0 -
I regulary report flytipping on my country lane via the council's online reporting form.
They turn up within a few days and cart it away. Tends to be old tyres round here. If it's just 1 oe 2 I take them to the tip, but more than that I report.
Anonymously? Why? You didn't dump it and if you had, would you be reporting it.....?0 -

In case of any comeback - eg concern the Council might try and land you with a bill for disposing of someone else's property.
Other possible reason is if a nearby household are regularly flytipping in their (and your) own area and you want the stuff removed without those antisocial neighbours finding out who had reported them (Councils are supposed to check flytipped stuff for evidence of who the culprit is - and sometimes they do so and use it against the lout concerned).
In my last area there was certainly an antisocial household living very near to where they used to (frequently) flytip their rubbish. Fortunately - the Council was well aware what they were like (but, presumably, none of the decent neighbours would have wanted these louts to know they were the one that reported them).
Antisocials often tend to be aggressive as well as everything else. There was another antisocial nearby that also flytipped in the area concerned and, when I commented to a more normal neighbour that this character had done so right in front of me and been verbally aggressive when I told him to stop - the normal neighbour told me that this lout was a drug-dealer/really "hard case"/been in prison for years and it wasn't wise to cross him. Reporting his activities was something that certainly had to be done anonymously for safety's sake.
It is not pleasant to be on the receiving end of verbal aggression from those that make a habit of it. There is also always the concern that these characters might "up the ante" and make it physical aggression instead.0
