Hi I just checked my credit report and on a loan I had with the co-op i haven't paid it in about 3 years but on my credit report it says Unknown status what does that mean please

As far as I’m aware unknown status means the creditor hasn’t been reporting the status of the account to the credit agency. You could contact the creditor and ask them to correct your file but then they may well show the account as in default. On the plus side a default added at the correct date should mean the debt disappears from your credit file completely after 6 years from that date.
