Do I have to switch to halifax to get the £5 per month bonus?

As per the title does the £5 bonus only apply to people who switch? Can I just open the account and get it that way?
Reason is I don't want to switch my current account as I earn a decent amount of cash back from Bills every month and credit card payments I make anyway. I also don't have an idle account I can just switch which is a shame.

No, you don't have to switch in order to get the £5 per month Reward payment - just meet the T&C.
The switch incentive is completely separate - but why turn down an extra £125:cool: You could open another account with your current provider, or somewhere different, and switch that;).0 -
That is a good idea, so obvious and like you say why turn down £125 :-)
Ill open a current account with another provider, leave it a week or so until its all confirmed and then switch it over :-)0
