0% balance & money transfer Virgin cards

Any experience of credit limits for Virgin 0% balance & money transfer cards. There are quite a few on offer currently from 38 months & below & differing balance & money transfer fees.

I have to pay off a balance of about 10K on my current credit card (0% deal coming to an end in next 7 weeks) & ideally want to borrow another 10K for some home improvements so am looking for a limit of about 18-20K & 0% rate for both balance transfers & money transfers.

I got 9k and 12k headline moneytransfers from Virgin and MBNA respectively a few weeks ago.

Unless you earn £50K+ p.a. you, possibly, need to be a little more pessimistic.

Got £2k for 24 months 0% purchase on Virgin.
Got £11k @ 1.3% BT fee for 32 months on Barclaycard.

Virgin generally offer credit limits at the lower end. Most posters tend to say that MBNA tend to be more generous with credit limits, they have been with me offering £10k on first application. They also do an eligibility check that won't affect your credit file to advise you if you might be accepted on full application.
