Afternoon.
Payday today, but I'm determined to do a no spend week! I've plenty in, so have pulled together the following:
Monday - eggs for breky, a sw meal for lunch with bannanaramas and satsumas, and LO roast chicken dinner.
Tuesday - I'm in hospital for some tests, so NBM until (likely) 3 or 4pm. I'm planning the rest of the roast for an early dinner, followed (perhaps) by some sugar free jelly and fruit.
Wednesday - Back to normal with yogurt fruit and oats for breakfast, Soup (I think chicken and sweetcorn, but not made it yet) for lunch, and comforting faggots, mash and peas for dinner.
Thurs - likely the same as wednesday (I'm defrosting 4 faggots).
Friday - I'm working from home, so I'll make a chicken pie and (maybe) a cake. That sounds like a classic case of premature extrapolation.

I've been lurking for some time on the meal planning threads and they have helped us so much. We no longer eat the same thing every week! Did a weekly shop today and picked up some extra bargains to fill the freezer. This week we have:
breakfasts:
Frozen berries, yoghurt and muesli
Toast and marmite
lunches
Sandwiches and fruit
Soup
Any leftovers if there are any
dinners
Chilli and rice
Leftover chilli and rice mixed and put into wraps
Chicken casserole, veg and rice (enough for two nights)
Thursday will be soup and toast in the car as we have our first antenatal class and will be pressed for time!
Homemade fish, chips and peas
Gammon shanks, potatoes and green beans
snacks
Nuts, fresh and dried fruit, crisps, homemade chocolate chip banana breadJuly grocery challenge £161.25/£2900 -

I didn't plan this week and so far impulse buys by OH when we've been out have cost a fortune and our meals have been rubbish. The only bright spot is that he's paid
So, a quick rummage in the freezer this morning and . . .
Wednesday: Beef Stew, mash, cauli and green beans.
Thursday: Smoked haddock, green beans, mash, green beans and carrots.
Friday:Salmon fishcakes, wedges, peas.
Back to planning properly next week but thank goodness for a well stoked freezer0 -
