I hadn't realised how blunt the knives were, I knew they were not sharp, but this has made the world of difference. I have only sharpened 2 so far, and I think 3 more to go.

Is that a traditional steel or one of those things you drag knives through.
The latter tend to be very aggressive and take a lot of metal off. Now they are sharp you would probably be better to buy a steel too and run the knife over it a couple of times before every use. I've done that for years and my knives stay razor sharp.You can pick your friends and you can pick your nose but you can't pick your friend's nose.0 -
