In debt but work affecting health

His health must come first. Does he get a period of sick leave which is on full pay? Would ill health retirement be an option?
I agree with the posters re bankruptcy. It could take enough pressure off your hubby to let him either go part time or take a job with less pay and stress.0 -
Looking in to all of the above.
Booking joint doctors appt tomorrow.
Will look at any stress training that the doctor can offer.
Also will look at health retirement and sick leave options.
We are already trying to increase our income and sell anything we can but health now needs to take priority.
Can I just say, it's not all my husband's debt, some is joint but in his name. We are in our current situation primarily because of a very costly divorce combined with losing on property values.0 -

Is there any chance that your husband could ask to go part time or to be demoted to a less stressful position on health grounds.
If this would mean you can't afford to pay your debts at the moment then don't pay them. They are not your priority at the moment while your husband is making himself ill. You can then seek advice about the best debt solution for you.
Wishing you all the best
