Best place to buy double glazing

Hi
Our conservatory doors and 3 windows have got misting inside suggesting that the vacuum has broken.Overall it is not affecting the temperature inside but does bring out remarks/opinions from the guests.
Where is the best place to source them?
We are based in Berkshire.
Many Thanks

A well-established local window company is your best bet. One with a personal recommendation from sane neighbour/friend is best. Get quotes from a couple at least.

Avoid the nationals at all costs.

If it's a reasonably modern conservatory, they should be able to swap the glass units easily enough.
  • The other option you have is to go to a local reclaim yard, the PVC in these places are not so good but most of the glazings are and can be replaced very easy...

It's only the glazed unit that needs replacing. Measure up what you need and phone about for some quotes unless you want to replace the doors and windows it will definitely be cheaper this way.

Every sealed unit is made to measure, and this is more relevant when one is talking about a conservatory. Of course one might find a secondhand replacement in a reclamation yard that has the correct dimensions, is not scratched and is not damaged. However, driving to the yard would be going on a fools errand for common sense minded consumers.
