Spam emails from British Gas after collective fix?

I am in the process of changing my energy supplier to British Gas via Cheap Energy Club and since British Gas have had my email address, I am receiving spam emails which are coming directly from "customerservice@britishgas.co.uk".

The emails are such as a Ladbrokes welcome package to register for a special bonus of up to £100 to use online at Ladbrokes Casino, and Morrisons supermarket with an opportunity to take part in a survey for the chance to win a £50 gift card.

I have taken this up with British Gas, but no response yet from them. Is anyone else experiencing such unwanted junk email from British Gas?

  • Ah thanks for your reply, I know what you mean, but the problem is that because these Ladbrokes/Morrisons offers are coming directly from the genuine British Gas email address, if I block/filter them, then the genuine British Gas emails asking for readings, providing bills etc will also be blocked/junked.
