Throwing food away

Leftover veg and potatoes and gravy from the serving dishes go into a "freezer fairy" a tupperware jug kept in the freezer and when it is full I make surprise veg soup - surprise as it is always just a little bit different from last time.
I do this!
Think I got the idea from the Tightwad gazette (?) I can usually make a pressure cooker full of soup once every 2 weeks which then lasts me 2 weeks of soup at work.
I take a 1/2 litre flask to work of hot, filling soup which is completely free (apart from a little electricity) as all the ingredients would otherwise have been thrown away. :T
I have been known to put the last crust of a loaf of bread in as well as pasta, cucumber, fruit (some overdry apricots made a lovely addition to one soup batch) but draw the line at fake gravy (gravy granules etc)!
