    In one of our rooms, one double socket will be powering a laser printer, docking station, large resolution monitor, external hard drive, television, xbox one and a lamp. (This is where I'll be working during the day and gaming a couple of nights a week.

    Just an update on this, electrician visited today and confirmed the best way to set up the double sockets is the way I thought. He'll fit two double sockets this way.

    Price was £95 which I thought was reasonable. :)

    I would have said that it was unreasonably cheap.

    I posted on MyBuilder and received three quotes - all around the same price from validated and insured electricians with great feedback.
