Received PCN for overstay at Sainsbury's Hudderfield

So I attended an job interview in Huddersfield. it was third interview and my wife decided to travel with me. We got there early so went to Sainsbury's Southgate, Hudderfield and grabbed some lunch in the Cafe. My wife then went over the road to go to the shopping centre and I attended my interview. We agreed that once I was out we would meet back at Sainsbury's.
Anyway this car park has a 3 hour limit and has two entrances/exits. The have number plate recognition cameras on both.
When we got there we entered through one and exited through the other. On return the driver re-entered through the one exited earlier, we met up and exited the one we had originally entered through when we first arrived.
We have received this PCN from Horizon and they have neglected the photos on the driver exiting and re-entering through the other entrance/exit and just show the first entry and the last entry which comes to 3hrs 20mins.
In fact the car was on the car park from 12:54 until 14:10 and then 16:08 until 16:12.
I have a parking permit for my interview (@14:30) and an email confirming my interview as evidence and can get a written statement to say I attended (I got the Job).
So what should I put in my initial appeal to Horizon? I need them to check the cameras at the other entrance/exit

just read and follow the NEWBIES sticky thread advice near the top of the forum, there is a ready made template for you to use
do NOT admit who was driving, so none of this I did this blah blah
if you wish to add anything to that template, dont admit who was driving as too many people stupidly reveal those details
put a note in it stating that as KEEPER you believe that the driver made 2 visits that day, not one visit, that they should check their anpr cameras and logs and that no breaking of the parking rules occurred, so to cancel the invoice or to issue a popla code so popla can cancel it
do not give them any evidence, no admissions, its their job to prove they have a valid case
hopefully they will see sense and cancel this speculative invoice
remember, no admissions at this stage, you have been warned !
ps:- you havent stated what happened when you made a serious complaint to Sainsburys and insisted they cancel the parking invoice ! if you have not complained , WHY NOT ?0 -
I've just come on hear first, I'm back up there on Monday so was going to go instore then and have a word with the duty manager. I don't live near Hudderfield at Present.0
-
fair enough, but I am sure that Sainsburys have a head office and a CEO and probably a head office complaints department too
but put the appeal in to Horizon anyway, that is a priority as you have 28 days from the invoice date to do so
I would also edit post #1 to remove any "I DID" words and change to THE DRIVER DID etc , assuming you believe (as I do) that parking companies read these forums and can take screenshots
too much info, lol0 -

Trouble is the PPC's have yet to acknowledge the huge flaw in the ANPR system that allows this to happen.
In reality they don't care, they only want your money
Horizon is not the smartest card in the pack.
Last year after getting a ticket cancelled by sainsbury's, they said..
QUOTE
"If a customer does receive a parking charge notice unfairly, we can certainly look into the circumstances and consider overturning the charge"
So, contact this lady
Danielle Travers
Executive Office
customer.service@sainsburys.co.uk
Give her enough reason to overturn the charge. Pointing out you will not use sainsbury's again unless it is cancelled
All the big 4 SUPERMARKETS are suffering right now and these parking scammers play a big part in the loss of profits0 -
It is called "double dipping", lots to read about it here

As far as I am aware, no PPC has ever been successful in court. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
