I have been turned down for a mortgage agreement in principle.
This was an online application - I can't work out whether it will show up to other searchers or whether it was just a 'soft search'. It shows up as an "Opt Out" type search on my Equifax page, but even after googling I'm not 100% sure what this means. The search doesn't show up at all on Noddle.
Obviously I'm hoping it won't show up so I don't have to wait for ages until I can apply anywhere else.

Can you check with the lender what type of search that have carried out as that's really the only way to be certain. Also don't forget about Experian that may have been searched along with Equifax and Noddle that you say has no search recorded.0
