Switching from two accounts into one

Hi all,
My wife and I currently have a joint account for all of our bills with Nationwide (Flexplus) which we are very happy with.
We then have separate accounts that we keep for basically disposable income, mine is with Halifax and my wife's is with HSBC.
We've been doing some thinking as we do argue from time to time as to who pays for what when we are out and about and have decided it would be easier if we just pool our money together now. I see that a lot of bank accounts have incentives for switching using their 7 day switching service, but whilst the monthly income aspect is never an issue, I only have one direct debit through my solo account and you usually require a minimum of two. Do the banks accept two accounts being switched via the 7 day service? That way I reckon we will be able to untap the incentives.
Thanks,
Jon

Dont think you will be able to do this ....but why not just switch another DD to the account - or if you dont have one, open a Tesco online savings account which allows DDs and set up a small amount to go into it every month as many others on here do...?0

The only reason you would require any DDs for a switch is if you want the switch bonus, and the bonus T&Cs say you must switch some DDs.
You are entitled to switch without requesting a bonus but there are limitations if the account types (sole/joint) are not the same at both ends. I think you can switch a sole to a joint account, which is what you say you want to do if I understand correctly. Check with your target bank.0
