Best UK Shared Web Host please?

Options
Hi,

I need to move my website over to a web hosting service with UK based servers. Speed of servers and good customer service are important.

Any recommendations?

I use Krystal but you'll probably get as many recommendations as there are replies as there are so many hosters out there and you gave no indication on what type of hosting package you are looking for or how much you are prepared to spend.

I am looking for shared hosting for a small business website. Speed and a UK based server are important.

My shortlist at the moment is:

    Hostpapa
    hosting.co.uk
    eukhost
    Siteground

Krystal look good and seem to pride themselves on being fast. 16x faster than average hosts and SSD servers.

I have been with Krystal for a few years now following recommendations on here, I can't fault the service at all, they do have rare issues like all of them at times but they are always up front about it and then take steps to reduce the chance of it happening again by investing when needed.

Several other people I have recommended them to also tell me often they are very happy with them.

...a UK host as search engines favour a website hosted in the same host as the target audience. Also, as the servers are closer they tend to be faster, which can also affect ranking and benefits user experience of the site.
  • UnitedHosting - good prices and fast support if you need them.

If it helps, I've been happy with TSOHost, and you can find a discount referral link on the referrers board.
