Where's best for fitted wardrobes?

Hi, would like to get fitted wardrobes. Most of the ones I've seen in catalogues are free standing. Where's good for buying these, ideally don't want to pay more than £500 including an over the bed "bridge" is this realistic? Also, are they easy to fit yourself or do you require a carpenter? Thanks in advance

Find a carpenter first - they'll know who is good in your area. I don't know where you are, but £500 is possible if a little hopeful.
