How to drain a diy plastic container to pvc pipe

I'm pretty new to building things for myself and lately I'm trying to build something but with all my research I'm hitting a snag when trying to figure out how to do what I need to do or if it's even possible.

Basically what I need to be able to do is drain water from a plastic container to a pvc pipe. The container will fill up with water and I need to drain it back into a system.

How would I go about drilling a hole in the bottom and sealing the whole up with the pipe correctly so that it drains with no leaks?

Is this possible?

That's great thank you would that automatically create a water tight seal just by tightening the nut?

You may need rubber washers with those if they aren't supplied.
