Pedant: a person who is excessively concerned with minor details and rules or with displaying academic learning.

    c.f. pedantry, pedantic.
I know what the definition of pedant is. Since you've gone to the trouble of looking up the word, you'll have noticed "excessively" and "minor" in the definition. When "a hefty penalty" is at stake, I'd say the specific number of applications that may lead to said "hefty penalty" is not a minor detail, nor is challenging you on the correctness of your claim excessive in the slightest.

I'll throw that right back at you. What you're telling people is that they can apply for six accounts over a two-months period all of which have the potential of a hard credit search for each. At best your post is highly irresponsible.

It's common knowledge on MSE and elsewhere that two hard credit searches, three if you're lucky, is the maximum in a six months period! More than that and you risk rejected applications and the imposition of higher APRs.
Having opened 4 bank accounts, 2 credit cards and 3 mortgages in 6 months I think I can safely say this is completely untrue or generalisation, unless 0% APR is a higher value than I could have got.
Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.

Ah I think the 3 mortgages gives you the record so far in this thread. I've lost track now. I wonder if anyone has done 4 mortgages?

I listed the benefits in post #7, you apparently are more concerned about your useless experian score than the money that can be gained.

That's your choice, not very sensible in my and several others opinion on this thread, but we need to make sure that others aren't misled by your bizarre view of the world.

Or maybe you really have stopped posting as you repeatedly claimed to be doing when your view was debunked a few pages ago?

Your post has absolutely nothing to do with the post you quoted. In the post you quoted I was actually congratulating jimjames for having broken the record so far in this thread for the number of searches within a short time. Or are you seeing something that I'm not seeing?

    Still here then?

You aren't really very bright and should stop posting having continually digging yourself deeper against a large number of posters who have tried to correct and inform you.

I don't really like to reply to you because it looks like you have some sort of psychological problem and I don't want to do any damage. In particular you appear to be removed from reality, perhaps an alternate personality. But I'm not an expert in psychological problems and I could be wrong. However I do suggest that you might find a change beneficial to relieve some of the stress. Perhaps try to get some sleep too. Good luck.
