Travel Cashcard?

I've been doing a lot of researching but am still unsure what to do! I'm going around the world including the USA and obviously do not want to use my Lloyds debit card abroad. Is the STA travel card any good? There is also FairFx, but am I right in thinking I'd have to get their US dollar card and then their Anywhere Else card separately? Any help would be much appreciated!
