Opening more than 1 BOS Vantage

I recently opened a BOS Vantage account, and then tried to open a second online. However when I did this it would only offer me a basic account which I presume is not 3% interest. I thought it was possible to open up to 3 Vantage accounts? Anyone else had problems?

Yep, I could only get one Vantage and my second application resulted in me being offered just the classic one too. A few people have had the same problem. I have left it for now as I opened four current accounts close together and wonder if that was the problem.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. yeah, I've done a spate too recently, so maybe that is it. Still have 5/5 on noddle though0

Ignore the 5/5 Noddle score doesn't mean much to lenders but lots of credit searches will. Noddle don't consider searches in their score if you read thier blurb! Also, Experian seem to report searches to lenders when they search, negatively, I've suffered a temporary hit due to too many searches!0

Thanks - how long did the 'temporary hit' last for - i.e. how long do you reckon it's worth leaving it before applying again?0

Ive got three with bos, first opened fine online but second was rejected. My second and third were both opened by phone, straightforward if a bit long winded, but this is a fairly common experience.
Some people may have opened all three online, or certainly a second one, some people aren't offered more than one even if they ring them up but it's worth calling to see.0 -
Vantage is an add-on to their Classic account.
Can't you just go in and add Vantage once open...This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
No I couldn't get a Classic account, only a 'basic' account0

Experian say 6 months seems to be when searches have less of an impact, at least 3 months with no hard searches is probably the minimum. Searches have little or no affect after 12 months.0 -

Ring them up and apply, myself and several others on here have had online refusal but additional accounts opened by phone.
My recollection is that they could only get this done during the working week, as the weekend staff didn't have the authorisation to progress it, so you need to do it between 9 and 5, Monday to Friday, and allow about twenty minutes for each one.0
