Barclaycard reviewing claims?

Hi folks,

Come home from work to find a letter from Barclaycard saying they're reviewing my claim from 2007 about a Platinum card with PPI I took out in 2003.

Has anyone else had old claims re-opened?

They've asked me a bunch of questions about what job I was in at the time and so on and said they'll be in touch with a decision.

It's come out of the blue and I'd completely forgotten all about it. I was unemployed and 7 months pregnant at the time (and stupid, hence taking out a credit card with no means of repaying it at the time). I wonder if it will come to anything in the end.

I was wary of a scam but called Barclaycard direct and they've confirmed it's been re-opened, and that a few cases are.

Difficult to give any indication as we have seen posters that have said their review didnt change the outcome and others that said the outcome changed.

Ahhhh I see. The lady at barclaycard made out that it was just a selection of cases that had been re-opened. Thank you for clarifying for me.
