Trainee 6 Month Position - My Rights

I am approaching the end of 6 months of a very difficult trainee position.

    You must have some sort of contract.

    I would have thought you would be be entitled to at least a week's notice.
    make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
    and we will never, ever return.

    I have not been presented with any contract whatsoever and no mention of one, just an email with the original trainee job offer and details of a 6 month review.

    With no contract you get the statutory notice of 1 week. They do not have to follow any process as, with <2 years service, you have no right to any legal action over dismissal unless it is related to sex/race etc, TU membership and, IIRC, certain types of protected whistleblowing

    If they want you to go there and then then they must pay you one weeks notice pay and any accrued holiday pay.

    If you like what you are doing then I wish you good luck,. If you dont, then everything happens for a reason and something will come along, so again, good luck
